Our Story

Bearing Burdens
Together

The Goodness Foundation exists to come alongside people and organizations already doing meaningful work—fueling missions, strengthening impact, and serving as gospel patrons for those serving others.

Our Mission

"We support people and organizations doing good work by providing the resources, support, and partnership they need to thrive—fueling missions, strengthening impact, and bearing burdens together as gospel patrons."

Our Vision

"We envision a world where mission-driven people and organizations are fully supported, allowing good work to flourish and communities to be transformed through generosity and faith in action."

Strengthening Those Doing Good Work

In every town, including yours and mine, there are organizations faithfully doing good—yet often what's missing isn't the mission or the people. It's the provision.

The Goodness Foundation steps in to help bear one another's burdens. We partner with mission-driven organizations, provide the resources needed to turn good work into lasting impact, and serve as a trusted bridge between generous donors and communities in need.

We prioritize restorative action over temporary relief—rebuilding lives, restoring dignity, strengthening families, and empowering sustainable independence.

Meet the Team Behind the Mission

Joe Allen, Founder of The Goodness Foundation

Joe Allen

Founder

Joe knows what it means to need help. Having walked through his own struggles with addiction, he found himself at a crossroads between life and death, where he prayed, “God help me live or let me die.” God answered that prayer and after that, everything changed!

That experience became his calling. The Goodness Foundation was born from a conviction that every person deserves the resources and community to heal and flourish — and that everyone has a role to play in making that possible. Today, Joe is a thriving business owner in the Fredericksburg community, an active member of his church, and someone known for investing in the people around him.

Joe is a passionate advocate for restorative action and gospel-driven generosity. His story is proof that restoration is possible — and he’s committed to extending that same hope to others.

“No one can do everything, but we all can do something.”

Vickey Allen, Co-Founder of The Goodness Foundation

Vickey Allen

Co-Founder

Vickey’s life is a testament to God’s grace, redemption, and faithfulness. More than 18 years ago, she walked through the difficult journey of addiction and recovery alongside her husband Joe — and by God’s mercy, they came through it with a stronger marriage, deeper faith, and a renewed sense of purpose.

That season shaped who she is today. It taught her compassion, perseverance, and the power of walking with others through their hardest moments with honesty, hope, and unwavering support. At The Goodness Foundation, she brings that same heart to everything TGF does — championing the belief that good work multiplies when the right people and resources come together.

Vickey is living out the testimony that true healing is possible and no one is beyond God’s ability to redeem.

“Healing is possible, restoration is real, and no story is beyond God’s ability to redeem.”

Jennifer Stovall, Executive Director of The Goodness Foundation

Jennifer Stovall

Executive Director

Jennifer knows what it means to grow up in the middle of someone else’s struggle. Raised in a home shaped by drug and alcohol abuse, and later walking alongside a husband who has battled alcoholism — now four years sober by the grace of God — she understands the weight families carry and the hope that becomes possible when faith and the right support show up.

That lived experience is what draws her to The Goodness Foundation. As Executive Director, Jennifer brings the heart of a coach, the voice of a storyteller, and years of ministry and nonprofit leadership to the mission — alongside her work through Mustard Seed Co., where she helps individuals and organizations grow with purpose, faith, and clarity — and she brings that same conviction to every partnership and program at TGF.

She believes God does extraordinary things through ordinary people willing to take the next faithful step.

“Mountain-moving faith often starts with a mustard-seed-sized yes.”
